The Five Oaks

The Trullo is a work of genius.

A man who digs, collects the stone and, tearing it from the earth, raises it, one on top of the other, together, finding one twin of the other. And united they become a force of nature; assembled they recognize themselves in a Trullo, supportive and powerful. They become landscapes, entering the context without fanfare; powerful but gentle presence with its shapes without edges and generous with curves, with elementary and simple shapes, easy to read. For this reason the Trullo becomes inhabited architecture, possessing that grace, despite the rough material that composes it, which welcomes and accompanies life by attenuating the rhythms. Give the gift of coolness and warmth when needed; he seems to know human needs and indulge them. Therefore the Trullo will survive its owner who becomes its temporary custodian and will cultivate it for future memory. In its time it will forever remain a place of welcome.

Urbano~Lanotte family's trullo, nicknamed by the sons "The Five Oaks", is situated in the heart of Apulia, known as "the golden green mine" in the middle of Valle d'Itria among Locorotondo, Martina Franca and the Murgia of Alberobello.
The two owners, Umberto and Grazia, invite you to stay in this holiday dwelling, consisting of an ancient building made of local stones, to rediscover the daily life quality and the well dwelling in order to regain one's own time, nature and traditions. CIS TA07301391000003167
The conical building is embedded in one hectare of "red land" rich of centenarian olive trees, fruit trees and oaks and it is an example of the past eco-friendly architecture (click here and find) . Built at the end of the nineteenth century and later skillfully restored by the stone master, called "trullaro", the trullo has preserved its authentic peculiarities.
The haven is basic, well-finished and welcoming according to country tradition.
